With the Pacific Ocean on one side, Tuggerah Lakes on the other and Wyrrabalong National Park to the north, every hole offers stunning ocean and bushland views.

Opened in 2006, it was the spectacular location that inspired the Ross Watson designed course.

‘I have been waiting for a site like this since I first began designing golf courses 30 odd years ago,’ Watson said.

‘With its rolling landscape, coastal dunes and tranquil National Park, it was the ideal “canvas” on which to create a truly sensational course – one which will appeal to golfers of all levels.’

Built on a deep sand base and shaped in the spirit of the famous Scottish Links courses, golfers will need to use their imagination and every club in the bag to excel at Magenta Shores.

Course designer James Wilcher described it as, ‘one of the most spectacular golf courses that will test the skill and emotions of those lucky enough to play it’.

The course presents a highly regarded test for players but is also renowned for its playability. Generous fairways mask well-placed bunkers and players should be careful with second and third place shots as missing the large undulating greens in the wrong places can be costly.

A traditional parkland style course, Meadow Springs is known for its year-round conditioning with superb fast and true greens. The course is not long by today’s standards, at 6189 metres but is very much a strategic course, which golfers must think their way around. And with few holes running in parallel, you’ll often feel alone in the wilderness.

Opened in 1987, Meadow Springs Golf & Country Club was designed by famed American, Robert Trent Jones Jnr to offer ‘golf as nature intended’. While every hole is memorable in its own way, the most photographed is the 17th – a 360 metre par 4 which doglegs to the right, showcasing Trent Jones Jnr’s signature bunkering.
