Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club

The layout of Terrey Hills enjoys great balance. The green complexes are large with a wide variety of bunkers, green-side water, humps, hollows and other challenges. The front nine holes are more tree-lined than the back, but otherwise both are evenly balanced in terms of challenge and length; and the best holes are shared between the two nines. A notable feature of Terrey Hills is that it boasts consistent top-quality golf across all 18 holes, as opposed to highlighting a few standout moments.

Adding to its solid collection of challenging holes, what also sets Terrey Hills apart is the serene setting. The course is beautifully sculpted into its surrounds, meandering through bushland and integrating a series of water hazards.

Graham Marsh Golf Design signatures like symmetrical mounding built along the sides of ‘mogul-studded’ fairways are clearly distinguishable. Fairway widths are also generous, but narrow significantly where the professionals drive, making Terrey Hills an extremely playable course for the average golfer all the way through to the pro.

The 17th hole is the challenging par-4 every golfer’s looking to conquer – it’s considered the toughest of the course.

Deep hollows on the left side should be avoided from the tee as they obscure visibility of the green. A lay-up second shot could be a wise option as water encroaches on the right-hand side of the green. Shots that find the green safely then must navigate across multiple ridges to make the hole.
