Daintree Boatman

A bucket list moment when in the Daintree Rainforest is seeing a giant saltwater (estuarine) crocodile in the wild. The Daintree Boatman, aka Murray Hunt, can make that happen onboard his customised hybrid vessel.

It’s not all about the crocs though and Murray’s cruises on the Daintree River provide plenty of opportunities to see and photograph a variety of birdlife including the Azure Kingfisher, Papuan Frogmouth and Great-billed Heron.

Private cruises are generally timed at dawn or dusk for the best light and pictures. The river will also be empty of other boats at these times allowing exclusive enjoyment of the waterway.
